A H Beck Foundation Company worked as a Subcontractor to Necaise Brothers Construction on the large expansion project for the Port of Gulfport. Beck completed numerous projects to include electrical platforms, lighting standards and several different buildings for the expansion project. Beck also worked on the Cross Dock structure, which required 50 – 18 inch diameter x 53 foot long augercast piles. The challenge with these piles was to install them at the specified 1:4 slope (H:V) and install full length reinforcing steel cages. The piles were successfully completed on schedule using innovative tooling and techniques through the sands, clays and buried debris.
