Overview:

The US 163 Bridge Replacement over Laguna Creek was located in Kayenta, AZ on the Navajo Nation just south of Monument Valley.  The four span bridge was supported by 108inch drilled shafts with 102-inch rock sockets into sandstone on the interior bents and 60-inch shafts with 54-inch rock sockets in the abutments.  All of the shafts on the project were installed with polymer slurry and permanent casing in the overburden material.
