A.H. Beck delivered 800 piers in support of the Koch Enid Modernization Plan in Enid, Oklahoma.

Overview:

AH Beck delivered more than 800 conventional piers in Enid, Oklahoma in support of the $1.3 Billion Koch Enid Modernization Plan.  Piers were drilled across a range of conditions, from inside tight-access areas of the existing plant, to overhead piperack supports outside the facility.  Black & Veach engineered the majority of the expansion which was implemented and contracted through Kellog Brown and Root.  A. H. Beck installed and tested two test shafts at the project site to confirm the engineering design and required penetration into the bearing shale.  One of the test shafts was tested for axial capacity using a high strain dynamic test and the other was tested for lateral deflection.  The Koch Enid Modernization Plan, once completed, will increase fertilizer output by more than 1 million tons per year.
