Overview:

As part of the 9 miles long improvement to I-64, A H Beck will install 1800 Augercast Pile foundations for 16 separate Noise Wall sections. The foundations to support the noise wall are 24”, 30”, and 36” Continuous Flight Augered (CFA) piles with direct embedded beams. The piles are drilled using A H Beck manufactured Oruga Drill rigs for tight access work and a crane attached drill which allows a horizontal reach up to 30 ft for the site conditions that had a more challenging access. A H Beck drilled the CFA foundations, set the H-Pile Wall supports and installed many of the sound wall panels.
