Overview:

A.H. Beck, working as a subcontractor to SpawGlass, completed the deep foundations to support the new slip form constructed cement storage silos in the Port of Corpus ChristiThe deep foundation elements consisted of 18-in diameter by 135 foot deep Auger Cast Piles.  AHB coordinated two drilling rigs within the very small project limits of 200’ x 140’ in order to complete this project on schedule and within budget.  A load test program was completed on two piles prior to the start of production pile installations.  In addition to the load test program, Thermal Integrity Profiling (TIP) was performed on ten random piles during production installations.
